With your help we can stymie Governor McDonnell’s efforts to weaken Virginia’s clean air laws.

McDonnell has proposed an amendment to HB 1300 and SB 128 that makes this bad legislation even worse. HB 1300 and SB 128 are identical bills that weaken air pollution protections from dirty coal plants across the state except in Northern Virginia which has the worst air quality in the state.

Sierra Club had asked Governor McDonnell to veto the legislation, but instead he made bad legislation worse by extending the polluter loophole statewide to include Northern Virginia polluters as well.
