Reporting from Cancun UN Climate Conference

Virginia Chapter Director Glen Besa is one of forty Sierra Club representatives serving as official observers to the UN climate talks in Cancun. He has filed two reports thus far which you can read here and here.
Photo caption: In the face of mounting science that GHG emissions from the use of fossil fuels are approaching a tipping point that will trigger irreversible climate chaos, most of the richest and the largest nations of the world are still unable to broker a fair, ambitious and binding agreement to reduce carbon emissions. What better way to represent this ostrich approach to their negotiations than to literally stick their heads in the sand.
