If you can’t win fairly, cheat! That seems to be the attitude of the right wing radicals running the Virginia Republican Party. There is no voter fraud in Virginia, but under that guise, some Republicans are pushing for measures to make it harder to vote, including photo IDs that often impact the elderly who give up their driver’s licenses, students and the poor. Help defeat this legislation by calling your Senator and Delegate and telling them to OPPOSE SB 1256 requiring Photo ID required at polls sponsored by Senator Obenshain. Click here to be guide to our Call Alert where you can get phone #s for your legislator and a sample message to impart on them.
Your legislators need to hear from you! Tell them to oppose SB 1256, legislation to require photo identification when voting. The more vibrant a democracy, the healthier the environment. Where democracy is suppressed in places like China, pollution is so bad that it dangerous to breathe. That’s why we oppose legislation like SB 1256 which is intended to make it harder for students, the elderly and the poor to vote.
When our state legislators are making decisions on how to vote, one of the biggest influencing factors is what they hear from you, their constituents. Contact your State Delegate and Senator TODAY and let them know you oppose SB 1256, requiring photo IDs.
